Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use the Hatch Baby Alexa skill with multiple babies?
Yes! If you have two babies in your Hatch Baby app, Alexa will recognize both names.

Can I use my baby’s name?
Yes! Alexa will recognize your baby’s name. However, Alexa doesn’t recognize possessives so say “When was the last feeding for Jake” rather than “When was Jake’s last feeding” as Alexa doesn’t recognize “Jake’s” as a name. If Alexa is unsure of the name you said she will prompt you for more information.

What types of diapers can I record?
Just like the Hatch Baby app, you can record and report on diapers that are “wet”, “dirty” or “both.” What if Alexa doesn’t understand me? Try saying “Alexa, open Hatch Baby” and follow her prompts to begin interacting.

Do I have to follow the exact phrasing in the chart above?
The suggested wording is just a starting point. The Hatch Baby Alexa skill recognizes many options such as log a diaper, save a diaper, create a diaper, record a diaper, and I changed a diaper.
