Apple's iOS release (13.4) caused an issue with users setting up their new Rest+ via the Hatch Sleep app. if you're receiving an error message while attempting to register your Rest+ and you're running iOS 13.4 we have a few options to get you up and running.
- You can upgrade your iOS to Apple's most recent release (13.5) and connect again via your Hatch Sleep app to complete your registration.
- If you are unable to update your iOS to 13.5 and if you have another smartphone or tablet in your home, such as an Android device or an iPhone running an earlier version of the operating system (prior to 13.4) you can use that device to log in and register your Rest+. Once registered you will be prompted to upgrade the firmware. Once the firmware has been upgraded, you will be able to use your preferred device with your Rest+ (running iOS 13.4).
Keep in mind, your Rest+ is not tied to the phone used to register the device, it’s tied to your Hatch account. So if you use someone else’s phone to register your Rest+, simply log out of your Hatch account after you’re done, then log into your Hatch account on your preferred device!
