Rest 2nd Gen allows you to create up to 6 Favorites. Favorites are light/sound combinations that you can program with your own preferred settings. They are accessible via the Home tab on Rest in the Hatch Sleep app, and by tapping the touch ring on top of Rest.
How to manage your Favorites:
- First, tap the "Home" tab on the menu bar.
- Tap the pencil icon in the upper right corner of the screen to open the Manage Favorites menu.
How to Enable, Disable and Reorder Favorites on your Home Screen and Touch Ring:
- Enable a Favorite – In the Manage Favorites menu, toggle the button on the right side so that it appears turquoise blue.
- Disable a Favorite – In the Manage Favorites menu, toggle the button on the right side so that it appears navy blue.
- Reorder Favorites – In the Manage Favorites menu, tap and hold the three lines on the left side, then slide it up or down to place it in the order you prefer.
- The next time you go to your Rest Home screen or tap through the touch ring, your changes will be reflected.
How to Add a Favorite on your Home Screen and Touch Ring:
- After locating the piece of content you'd like to add as a Favorite - Tap the Play button.
- Make any adjustments in the Player and customize your desired settings.
- Tap the three-dot icon on the bottom right of the Player screen.
- From the options, Tap Save to Favorite. Please note, you may only have 6 Favorites total.
How to edit a Favorite:
- Select Favorite – Tap the name of the favorite you wish to edit to open the Edit Favorite screen.
- Choose a Sound – Tap the Image in the half-moon at the top of the screen to choose the sound you want your Favorite to include. You can select a basic sound from the menu, or one of the Wind Down Channels from the Hatch Sleep library. - Choose a Light Color – Tap the color ring at the top of the screen to choose the light you want your Favorite to include. You can select no light, a preset light color, or a custom light color with the hue selector.
- Rename your Favorite – Tap the existing name (you'll see a pointing finger icon) to bring up the keyboard. Label your Favorite with anything your heart desires, like "Cuddles in the AM" or "Ahhh sweet, sweet slumber."
- Adjust Volume – Use the Volume slider to drag the sound level to your ideal setting.
- Adjust Brightness – Use the Brightness slider to drag the light level to your ideal setting.
- Preview – You can Preview your Favorite on your Rest by tapping Start Preview.
- Save – After completing your custom adjustments, make sure you tap Save on the upper right corner of the screen to save the changes to your Favorite.
