In order to connect to your Restore via the Hatch Sleep app at an apartment complex or college campus with a Captive Portal Network (Captive portal networks require each device using the WiFi to sign into the network), you’ll either need to set up a hotspot via your smartphone to connect and control your Restore or enter the MAC address of your Restore in order to get connected.
If adding your MAC Address:
Some apartment complexes and universities use a type of Captive Portal Network or single device verification system which may prevent your Restore from connecting even after adding the MAC Address.
If you're unable to connect your Restore to the Wi-Fi Network after adding the MAC Address, we suggest using the below steps to use your phone's hotspot to register and set up your Restore.
If connecting using your hotspot:
You'll only need to have your hotspot active when you want to connect and make changes to your Restore, if your routine and alarms are set up you won't need to keep the WiFi hotspot active.
Unsure how to connect via a hotspot? The steps can vary depending on your phone's make and model, please check out the below links to find the appropriate instructions for your device!
